Aeotec – Nano Dimmer

Nano Dimmer is a Z-Wave control of existing wall dimmers. In this way, the connected load can be switched and dimmed both wirelessly via Z-Wave and locally via an existing wall switch. AEOTEC Nano Dimmer automatically adjust to the connected lighting and is used with different types of lighting fixtures (LED, Dimmable LED, CFL, Fluorescent, Incandescent, Halogen). In combinatio9n with a suitable bypass, it can even dim low-power LEDs and CFLs that use less than 20 watts.

The compact radio module (60% smaller that the previous Micro Dimmer) is place in the wall box just behind the normal switch. The switch is no longer directly connected to the load, but acts as an input device for the Nano Dimmer which controls the load. The dimmer works with all wall switch designs. It is recommended to use wall boxes with a depth of 65 mm. However, smaller boxes with a depth of only 45 mm can also be used if there is enough space behind the switch. The available space depends on the size of the tradition switch, the size of the wall box and the amount of additional wiring placed in this box.
