Door/ Window Sensor Gen5 Aeotec

The Aeotec Gen5 Door / Window Detector provides your Z-Wave with all the intelligence needed for a modern alarm and home automation system. With its small size and stylish design, it fits perfectly anywhere. The detector uses two magnetic parts to detect movement – one part is placed on the movable part of the door or window, and the other on the frame. When activated, a signal is sent to 6 connected Z-Wave devices.

It is easily mounted on any door or window with the help of screws or double-sided adhesive tape. It is powered by batteries, and when they begin to weaken, the device signals via an LED indicator and sends a signal to the Z-Wave controller. The device has protection against external interference and sends a message when it is detected.

Excellent range, without cable

The device is completely wireless. Despite its small size, it is very powerful. Uses a special signal that does not interfere with other devices in the wireless Z-Wave network. The signal has a very low power consumption, which allows the battery to work for years. Thanks to its antenna, it can transmit up to 90m in open spaces.

Extended battery life

Charging batteries is annoying, and forgetting exhausted batteries in safety sensors is dangerous. Therefore, the door / window opening sensor uses as little energy as possible, which makes the average battery life 2 years.
